Epic Dual Sport adventure in the wilderness of new mexico
The Searchers & Senderos (SAS) vehicle supported backcountry biking adventures offer a unique and challenging experience in some of the most beautiful regions in New Mexico!
However, this is only appropriate for strong and experienced riders that have attained the level of skill and performance necessary for multiple days of riding long distances, over varied terrain.
Minimal driving/overlanding and focus on riding as the primary form of adventure.
The vehicle/overlanding aspects of these trips will be getting into the backcountry via forest roads, base camping, moving to different base camp locations during the trip, and driving out the last day to civilization.
Drive time will be minimal each day and over (largely) maintained unpaved backroads that will allow participants with AWD vehicles to join in without issue.
Both ride and drive route (and camp location) altitudes will range from approximately 6,500 ft. to nearly 10,000 ft. depending on the finalized SAS route.
Riders can expect anywhere from 1,000 ft. to 2,000 ft. of climbing each day. Each of the three days will include a ride along backroads (graded to primitive two track) that vary in mileage from about 20 miles to 40 miles in length—the rides will not include single track.
Appropriate for strong and experienced riders that have attained the level of skill and performance necessary for multiple days of riding long distances, day after day, over varied terrain, at high altitude and involving significant elevation gains.
Even though the rides will be over backroads, not trails, mountain bikes, and not gravel bikes, are strongly recommended due to some rough road sections.

All participants will be responsible for their own vehicles, bikes, supplies, and provisions required for driving, camping, and riding. With that said, the final night (Saturday night) of the SAS trips, I’ll be cooking dinner for everyone.
Pricing for SAS will be $972.00 plus tax for the first driver/rider and $794.00 plus tax for each additional driver and/or rider (in the same vehicle).
